I hope you’re enjoying the warmer weather. I’ve been exploring the beach and uncovered a treasure trove of cozy curiosities for you to rummage through. Help yourself, they’re yours.
Video Games that Caught our Eye
Instants
Instants is a puzzle game where you put together a family scrapbook in order to create a sort of timeline of your life. As you string together different pictures, and add all sorts of stickers, you will learn about your family. It’s a cute, cozy game that I previously previewed for Indie Games Plus, but is now out on Steam.
Big Hops
Big Hops is a really fun, open-world puzzle game where you play as a frog with a long tongue. The puzzle element comes in that you’re able to use your tongue to grab objects and move them around. The story is cute, the movement is sleek, and the entire game feels fun. You can currently play a demo on Steam ahead of it’s release.
Camper Van: Make it Home
Camper Van: Make it Home is an organising game, where you need to place all of the items from your camper van into the right place. There are a lot of items, but there’s no time limit to placing them back in where they belong. It’s got a really cozy aesthetic to it. I got the chance to preview the game for Indie Games Plus, but its now out on Steam (along with a free demo).
Stuff that feels Cozy
Moon Headphone Stand
This Moon Headphone Stand comes in a few different colors, all of which really fit the cozy vibe. There are some versions that simply hold your headset, with a small tray at the bottom for trinkets, or versions that can also hold your controller when it’s not in use.
Kawaii Cake Clicker Fidget
Our household is a big fan of fidget toys. With the popularity of 3D printers we’re seeing more varieties and designs of them. These Kawaii Cake Clicker Fidgets were everywhere at MCM Comicon London - they are tiny, adorable cakes that can be clicked, much like a click-y keyboard.
Gamer Pusheen Surprise Plush
Pusheen has released a set of Gamer Pusheen Surprise Plush, which are all inspired by different gamer things, like phones, consoles, and controllers. There are eight different ones, and you won’t know which one you’ve got until you open the box (surprise!) but they’re all incredibly cozy.
Cozy Place to Visit
Pick Your Own Strawberries
If you live in England, it’s actually the perfect time to find a local Pick Your Own Strawberry farm near you. Not only do these pick your own farms work great for Instagram photos, but they also are very fun to actually pick from. We then use our strawberries to make jam. We go to Cammas Hall for our strawberries, which also has a fantastic cafe and farm shop, for a lovely, cozy, relaxed morning.
I have been so excited to try Camper Van: make it home! Now to just find the time to play it :)
